Tom Dundorf, CFP® CKA®
President & Managing Partner
Tom graduated from Clemson University with honors in Financial Management. He earned a Masters in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. After serving four years active duty in the US Army, Tom moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, and began working for First Union National Bank.
Family Wealth Partners was founded by Tom in 1990 with a vision to impact clients through long-term trusting relationships. He had no idea at that time the impact a trusted advisor could have on multiple generations within families, and through those families the lives that could be impacted by way of good stewardship.
For Tom, being a Stewardship Coach is not just a profession, it’s a calling. He believes that every person is on a spiritual journey and it is an amazingly, humbling honor to help people discover what God has called them to do with their lives and then help them creatively discover ways to make those possibilities realities.
While the integration of faith and finances is a passion of Tom’s, he believes we are called to become Proverbs 22:29 professionals “See a man skilled in his labor, he will stand before kings, he will not stand before obscure men”. Whether Investment Coaching, Insurance Planning, Wealth Coaching or Estate Planning; he strives to be most skilled in his trade. His professional certification of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ attests to Tom’s training and commitment to serving clients at the highest level of competence and ethics.
Tom measures success in his client relationships, not by how much money one has or accumulates, but by how much impact is derived by what one has been entrusted with.
Tom and his wife, Nancy, have been married over 30 years and have three children. Allison and Michael are grown and living on their own, and their youngest, Matthew, is studying Mechanical Engineering at Clemson. Tom enjoys skiing, golf (most times), cards, the outdoors and sports.
