Wade Tapp
Associate Financial Planner
When did you first become interested in Finance?
I have always been interested in the relationship between wise decisions and a flourishing life. Over time, that interest became more focused through managing finances for our own family, helping facilitate personal finance education at my church, and serving on finance committees. Thoughtful financial planning can help families make wise decisions, steward their resources well, and prioritize their goals. What is your favorite part of what you do at FWP?
Every person has a story, and FWP equips people with the steps necessary to live out their story with purpose. I love that the work is about helping people align resources with their values, relationships, and hopes for the future.Do you have any unique hobbies?
I enjoy reading, working out, hiking, and playing basketball. I also genuinely enjoy creating systems, diagrams, and tools that make complicated ideas easier to understand, which might be a hobby... or just a quirk of my personality!Do you have a favorite Bible Verse or Quote?
James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach.” This verse has been meaningful to me because it recognizes the goodness of our loving creator and gift that wisdom is. It is more than simply possessing knowledge. It involves understanding what matters and then faithfully applying what we know. What books can we find on your bookshelf?
You’ll find a mix of fiction and nonfiction, ranging from science fiction and fantasy to theology, leadership, human development, and personal finance. Some of my favorite authors include C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Tim Keller, Andy Crouch, James K.A. Smith, Simon Sinek, Pat Conroy, and Andrew Peterson.Which one of the FWP Values means the most to you & why?
Hospitality resonates most deeply with me because it is essentially loving others well by putting service and humility into action. It begins with listening carefully, understanding another person’s story, and helping that person feel genuinely known and supported.Qualifications
